How Inc. determines the Power Partners list
First, we collect data on each applicant company, including:
Cumulative scores from the numeric questions on thousands of client surveys
Qualitative ratings from the open-ended question on the client survey
Ratings based on an extensive examination of online sentiment analysis from our data partner, Meltwater
Research and analysis of open-source data by Inc. reporters
Inc.'s data team converts each of these signals into a standardized value from 1 to 100 and plugs those inputs into an indexing algorithm that we use to rank companies within each category. This score, along with findings from our editors' research, determines which companies make it onto the Power Partner Awards list. Companies are listed alphabetically within each category, not by rank.
