Jean Paul Buongiorno

This melodic, rhythmically inviting group performs flamenco, Brazilian and Latin-American music, featuring the virtuosic Spanish guitar of Jean-Paul Buongiorno accompanied by percussion and upright bass. The band members' travels in Spain, Italy, Brazil and Cuba bring depth and authenticity to their superb performances. Their music is flavorful and lively while still pleasing and not too loud.

The musicians in the ensemble are experienced and schooled performers who bring a high level of musicianship and passion to the music. A horn or an additional guitar can be added to the group if the event requires. The ensembles currently performs at private events, weddings, and select venues in wine country and the Bay Area. Buongiorno, bassist Aaron Germain and percussionist Alexey Berlind have performed nationally and internationally at world music and jazz venues and festivals and can be seen in concert all over the greater Bay area.
